citybiz-757x1024Kristen Preau is the president of Cook Me Something Mister, a New Orleans family business offering New Orleans party food products, and locally known as “Jambalaya Girl.” The first in the line is a Jambalaya that comes from the Preau family recipe. It is a New Orleans style brown Jambalaya Mix that includes the vegetables, seasoning and rice in one bag. Our products are sold in the Gulf Coast region with plans to expand distribution nationally. She is joined in the family business by “Jambalaya Dad” Paul Preau, “Jambalaya Guy” Kevin Preau and “Jambalaya Mom” Karen Preau.

Daniel James ScottDaniel James Scott is the co-founder of the 2013 USASBE Outstanding Emerging Entrepreneurship Program at USF St. Petersburg, the Tampa Bay Technology Forum’s 2013 Technology Leader of the Year, a 2013 Small Business Influencer Awards Community Choice Winner and Top 100 Champion, and named the SBA’s State of Florida 2013 Small Business Advocate of the Year. In addition, he is the founder of investor-backed startup Alorum and serves on the board of Lions Eye Institute for Transplant & Research, the only combined eye bank and ocular research center in the world.
